Greetings from down under,
Just a line to let you know about my latest project ‘Max Bygraves Remembers’, shortly to be released on CD and available only through this website.
Earlier this year my son Anthony paid a visit and whilst talking ‘show biz’, suggested that I put together a personally introduced history of my entertainment career. The question was, how do you condense more than sixty years of life and living into 120 minutes or so. Well, we’ve done just that. Drawing from many sources of archive material and my own personal memories, past singalong favourites and plus original songs we have put together almost 120 minutes of good old entertainment, as I remember it. From Bermondsey to Broadway from the Palace theatre Attercliff to the famous London Palladium, including stories of the great and sadly late performers Max Miller, Judy Garland, the Beatles etc.. the memories are fondly relived and retold by yours truly.
It was fun working with Ant (as we call him) again and definitely a case of ‘A good idea son !’ He is now putting the finishing touches to the CD and we are working towards a late summer release, to coincide with my 85th birthday (It’s not true that I did the cabaret at the last supper.). This is a new 2007 recording so listen out for preview tracks that will be featured exclusively on this website shortly.
I am in good health and spirit, and hope you are likewise. Thank you for your visits and continued interest in my life and career.
All my very best Max.
